It is said that love sees no boundaries, no religion and no age. The journey of her Facebook love was not easy for Anju, a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan. Anju somehow reached Pakistan from Bhiwadi to Delhi, Delhi to Amritsar, Amritsar to Wagah border and Wagah border but getting her Pakistan visa was not that easy.
Anju has gone to Deer Bala in Pakistan to meet her Facebook love. Deer Bala is a remote district of Pakistan which shares a border with Afghanistan. Usually both countries allow each other’s citizens to visit a small number of cities while granting visas. For two years, Anju made rounds of the Pakistani embassy in Delhi, while her Facebook love Nasrullah made rounds of the foreign ministry and other offices in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. In the end, both of their efforts paid off, but it took them two years to convince the officers, after which Anju got a visa to Pakistan and was allowed to go to Deer Bala.
Anju fulfilled all legal requirements to reach Pakistan and then Deer Bala. Anju and her Facebook love Nasrullah have spent thousands of rupees to get the visa. Both are hopeful that once the visa is in place, it is expected that there will be no further problems. The story of Anju is somewhat similar to that of Seema Haider who came to India. But Seema has come to India illegally while Anju has completed all the formalities to go to Pakistan.
Anju says that she has come to Pakistan after taking leave from her office. She is an employee with Honda. And she has taken 10 days leave from the company.
